We wanted to share a little bit about what we’ve been working on this past year and some exciting new things in 2022.
New Store Location!
In collaboration with the Urban Wood Network Western Region, (UWN) and with support from Cal Fire, we will be partnering on opening a new Urban Wood distribution center and store for both raw dimensional lumber, slabs, turning blocks, cookies, and finished products made from urban salvaged and reclaimed woods. This will be a compilation of products from various other UWN members in our area and be a “one stop shop” for all things urban wood and salvaged wood. This will allow you as a consumer to find products that were rescued from the waste stream from multiple vendors all in one central location. This will bring more variety to you as a consumer, while ensuring that the wood has been verified as “urban wood” through a chain of custody verification, as well as ensuring it has been sterilized against pests. We’ve been working hard the past year to remodel these warehouses with urban wood and get it set up to receive wood from multiple vendors. The address of this additional location, and Grand Opening Sale will be announced in the next month… so stay tuned and watch for that next newsletter!
New Website and E-commerce Solution!
In addition to a new collaborative urban wood location, we have partnered with a new company, the Urban Lumber Market for an urban wood app that will allow us to better manage our inventory and sell our product online. What this means for you is that for the first time ever ALL of our dry and ready to sell inventory will finally be online and visible to you the consumer to either ship, or to pick up at one of our locations in a convenient to you Amazon style marketplace where you’ll be able to see products from multiple vendors all in one location. If you wonder why we haven’t been updating our products page as often as we should, this is why…. Bigger and Better things are coming in 2022. We’ll keep you posted when this new marketplace app is released and you can start purchasing directly from it.
