Craft Your Own Table: Join Our Table Making Class on May 11th!

Ever wanted to make your own furniture, or work with live edge urban wood? Then this class is a must for you.

In this table making class you will learn how to work with live edge wood that was rescued from local Yuba County walnut orchards that were destined to be piled and burned onsite. Wouldn’t it be great to own a piece!

You will learn how to prep the wood for finish, work with Rubio Monocoat, and install your table legs.

Each participant will go home with their very own custom, one-of-a-kind side table. The table sizes will vary slightly, but will be approximately 12″ x 14″ wide and 16″ high. Very similar to the image shown, but without the bow-tie. Again, this class will not include the making or installation of the bow-tie, nor will the finished product have, or require a bow-tie. If you’d like to join a future class that includes making and installing a bow-tie (or have other class suggestions), please let your instructor know.

This class would make a great gift for mom on Mother’s Day, either gifting the finished table, or as a class that you and mom can take together. This table making class would also be great for anyone wanting to break into the world of woodworking, DIY’ers,  and anyone who appreciates urban wood and the value of rescuing urban and orchard salvaged woods.

Class course comes with a coupon for 30% off any one small to medium sized slab in the Urban Wood Store valid on the day of the course.

The Urban Wood Store will be open from 9am to 12 noon to shop as well, and we’ll be having a Mother’s Day Sale!

When:   May 11th 9am to 12 noon
