Far West Forest Products and Wood-Mizer are happy to be partnering with West Coast Arborists, Inc., and the California Forest Foundation at the California State Fair this year. We’ve been educating the public on the urban forest, and the use of Urban Wood for lumber. If you want to learn how urban foresters convert dead or dying treed into wood products and lumber this will be your last weekend to see us.
Far West was recently interviewed for an urban wood use documentary at our Sheridan facility. Last week the team came to the CA State Fair to also get the Wood-Mizer LT35HDG35 in action and get some feedback from the fair attendees. If you were there, who knows, you may make the cut to be on TV. 🙂
Brian of West Coast Arborists, Inc. will be demonstrating an LT35HDG25 on Saturday July 25th 2015from 1pm to 5pm. And I, Jennifer Alger of Far West Forest Products, Wood-Mizer CA, and Brian of WCA Inc. will be demonstrating the same mill Sunday July 26th 2015 from 1pm to 5pm.
While in the Forestry Center at the CA State Fair, you can also go to the Tree Circus to learn more about the Urban Forest, and try your hand at being a tree climber in the climbing area.
