This is a blue oak burl harvested from an old hunting grounds in Colusa County. The owner watched it grow while hunting with his grandfather on their property since he was a young boy. His grandfather passed away last year as did the tree, and he will be keeping a momento piece of this for his grandfather, but decided to share the rest of the pieces with you.

* note, oak trees are not known to produce a true burl, however this is an interesting shape and character and so we have labeled it as a burl, even though it isn’t a true burl.
