Doug Fir is very strong for its weight, and is also among the hardest and heaviest softwoods, for this reason it is frequently used in construction.

Our Doug Fir lumber comes from right here in California and we can saw beams and timbers up to 45’ long on our mill. We have old growth salvage DF in stock. Some of the Doug Fir we have in stock is not salvage material but was harvested under a THP thinning project to promote proper forest health in a private forest.
